Preamble
The Sudanese Engineering Society
is a scientific association established in the year 1936 to develop and
advance the engineering profession, as well as the technical performance of
engineers. It continues to maintain a relationship with the University of
Khartoum, Faculty of Engineering, which still sponsors the Society to this
day. The university provides much of its requirements, such as printing,
publishing and scientific support.
The first constitution of the society
was sanctioned in 1970 where its functions and objectives were defined as
follows:
A.
Working towards the advancement
and exchange of knowledge, experience and cognizance of the engineering
science and profession, as well as those occupations with pertinent
relations with engineering in Sudan.
B.
Working towards the realization
of those professional advantages and privileges inside and outside the
country, that are deserved, inherited and or originate from membership in
the society.
